March 2022 SFPE Chapter Meeting (remote)

This is the regularly scheduled monthly meeting of the Middle TN Chapter of SFPE. This month we have Tim Riley from PyroPhobic Systems presenting on the topic of intumescent products and protection of lithium ion batteries.

Mr. Riley is PyroPhobic System’s Director of Business Development.  He has 30 years of experience in technical sales of life safety products. For the last 10 years, Mr. Riley has directed business development and sales activities for PyroPhobic System’s unique life safety technology. Mr. Riley is experienced working with OEMs to achieve UL 9540a test results at the module and unit level.  

Mr. Riley is a participating committee member for the development of standards and regulations related to lithium batteries. He serves as a member on the SAE G27 committee that is developing performance packaging standards for air transportation of lithium batteries.
