January 2023 SFPE Chapter Meeting

This is the regularly scheduled monthly meeting of the Middle TN Chapter of SFPE. 

Andrew Roberts with Victaulic will present on the topic of Vortex Hybrid Fire Extinguishing system.

Born and raised in Pennsylvania, Andrew started developing his technical background at a young age. He started working for his father, growing from an Electrical Apprentice into an Electrician. He continued to work in the Electrical field for over a decade, until he found his passion in Fire Protection through the volunteer Fire Service, which led him to the Fire Protection Industry. Andrew has spent multiple years as a fire alarm installer, suppression service technician, and sprinkler inspector. All of these experiences led Andrew to his current position as an Application Specialist with Victaulic's Fire Protection Application Engineering Team (AE). Andrew's primary focus at Victaulic is providing superior technical support and development of the Vortex Hybrid Fire Extinguishing system. Andrew as a part of the AE team is instrumental in identifying solutions to challenges seen in the field and providing support to both internal and external Victaulic team members. Andrew also works on product development from conceptualization to installation and continued support for the life of the system. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Bachelor of Arts in War and Peace. Andrew is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Fire Protection and Safety Engineering Degree.
