February 2026 SFPE Chapter Meeting

This is the regularly scheduled monthly meeting of the Middle TN Chapter of SFPE.  This month Gina DeNinno and Jon McConnell with Kidde/Edwards will be presenting on Mass Notification.  Here is a short description of their presentation:    

“When emergency situations unfold inside buildings or at outdoor venues that hold large groups of people, notifying every occupant of the possible threat and how to evacuate as quickly and orderly as possible become a critical step in protecting lives and aiding first responders. This session will examine the importance of integrating comprehensive in-building and wide-area notification systems. The integration of mass notification systems is designed not only to capitalize on existing infrastructure but also to augment the environment by incorporating supplementary emergency devices as needed.
